The Galleria dell’Accademia in Florence, which has recently undergone major modernisation, brings together in this publication all the paintings of certain attribution and anonymity, as well as other classes of artefacts for a total of 270 examples.
The repertory is presented in alphabetical order, according to a layout that makes it easy to use and enjoy: each painter is given a biographical profile, followed by the work – or corpus – in the Museum, which is accompanied by a detailed chronological and technical description, a brief explanation and a high-quality image.
