Services
AccessibilityThe museum is equipped with devices for disabled access. Pavement connected to the street level. The use of electric scooters and wheelchairs is limited and evaluated on a case-by-case basis to ensure the safety of the museum spaces and works. The museum rooms are accessible, with the exception of the Chapel and the Sacristy; height differences can be overcome by means of ramps (staff are on hand) and a lift. Some thresholds are slightly raised. The Michelangelo Room is accessed from the bookshop. The exit is from the entrance itself. Adequate toilet facilities on the second floor.
Routes for the visually impaired and blindVisually impaired visitors to the Bargello National Museum may contact the Educational Services of the Bargello Museums (tel. 055 0649444 on Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 9.00 a.m. to 12.00 noon; e-mail: mn-bar.didattica@cultura.gov.it) in order to receive the necessary information on the route planned inside the Museum, with the possibility of possibly agreeing on a specific date for the visit itself. In order to be able to touch the selected sculptures and appreciate their volumes, the use of a pair of cotton or latex gloves, available at the Museum ticket office, is required. An outline of the tactile route usable by blind and/or visually impaired visitors is also available at the ticket office.
CloakrookThe cloakroom is located opposite the ticket office. Visitors must deposit umbrellas, large backpacks, bulky bags. Oversized luggage, suitcases and backpacks are not permitted. The service is free of charge.
BookshopThe bookshop is located at the entrance to the museum. Museum guides in several languages, art publications and objects inspired by the exhibits are on sale.
