Cookie Policy
This page describes the cookies used on the “Orbital Cultura S.r.l” website (hereinafter also “Orbital Cultura”), regarding the processing of personal data of users who access it.
This notice is provided under current privacy regulations, as set out in Article 13 of EU Regulation 2016/679 of April 27, 2016, and by the decision of the Privacy Authority of May 8, 2014 on the management and use of cookies. It is addressed to those who interact with the web services of “Orbital Cultura”, accessible online at: www.orbitalcultura.com
This notice applies only to the referenced site and not to other websites that may be visited by users via hyperlinks.
What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files that websites send to the user’s browser, where they are stored to be re-sent to the same sites on subsequent visits by the same user. In this way, the website or server recognizes the browser and remembers the preferences expressed by the user, along with other information useful for facilitating browsing.
Cookies differ from one another based on the purposes pursued and by who uses them.
Depending on the specific entity that installs cookies on the user’s terminal, cookies can be distinguished as:
- First-party cookies: set by the website itself (with a domain matching the one shown in the browser’s address bar) and can only be accessed by that website;
- Third-party cookies: set by domains different from that shown in the browser’s address bar, i.e., by organizations not corresponding to the website owners. These cookies are used, for example, to collect information for advertising or content personalization purposes, as well as to track site visits.
Cookies may also be distinguished as:
- Technical cookies: essential for the correct operation of a website or application. Without this type of cookie, the website may not function correctly or may prevent certain functions entirely. No prior consent from users is required for their installation;
- Analytics cookies: collect certain information about users’ navigation to analyze how users interact with website content, thereby improving site performance and/or enabling navigation. The site also uses analytics cookies provided by third parties, with tools to reduce the identifiability of the analytics cookies (e.g., by anonymizing significant portions of the IP address) and without “enrichment” or “cross-referencing” with other information. These analytics cookies, with these characteristics, are treated as technical cookies as they are used to provide the service and are stored separately;
- Profiling cookies: used to collect and store information about visitors (such as visited pages, searches performed, etc.) to deliver more targeted advertisements consistent with their interests. The use of profiling cookies requires user consent. In the case of third-party cookies, the site has no direct control over individual cookies and cannot manage them (i.e., cannot install or delete them directly). However, users can manage these cookies through browser settings (see the “How to delete cookies from your computer” section), or through sites indicated in the “How to object to third-party cookies” section.
Temporary or permanent cookies
Cookies have a duration set by the expiry date (or a specific action such as closing the browser) at the time of installation. Accordingly, cookies can be classified as:
- Temporary or session cookies: temporarily stored in the computer’s memory during a site visit (for example, to track the selected language). Session cookies are stored for a short period and deleted when the browser is closed;
- Persistent cookies: remain on the user’s computer for an extended period, depending on the expiry set when the cookie was created. These cookies allow websites to retain information during subsequent user visits, avoiding, for example, re-entering login credentials.
Types of cookies used by this site
This site uses the following cookies:
- Technical navigation/session cookies: essential for browsing the site and using all its features. Without these cookies, it would not be possible to provide requested services. These cookies do not collect information for commercial purposes.
- Third-party analytics cookies: collect and analyze, anonymously and/or in aggregate, information about site usage by visitors (pages viewed, etc.) to provide a better browsing experience. These cookies do not collect information that can identify the user in any way.
For more information on third-party cookies or to object to them, see the policies of their respective owners below:
